My ketch was built in 1979. hin CYKSW102179MK-II . She is documented for recreation No.622044.

I bought her in July 1998 from one Duncan Pardee and two years later changed the name from VOYAGER to DOYEN (the name fo my three earlier boats). Duncan said he had to sell it her for reasons of health but had spent a great deal buying all new spars and standing rigging.

From papers left on board I gather that former owners named Fransen, of Annapolis, sailed her to Bermuda and back. In Dec. 2000 I sailed her nonstop from Marsh Harbor to St. Thomas, about 1000 miles in 9 days. Beating, I might add, all the way.

I added a 75w solar panel, dinghy davits, and in 2000 a Doyle "Stackpack" main. New compressor for the refrigerator installed in 2004 .

Though it breaks my heart to part with her, I've become too old and decrepit to sail her any more. She currently lies at the Manhasset Bay Shipyard, hauled out, in Port Washington, NY. She is very well found and in good condition.

    Comments
The Allied Seawind ketch is a well known, popular and proven ocean capable cruiser built very strongly by Allied Yachts. This Seawind is the Mk II model which is slightly larger, updated, and offers even better sailing than the original model.

The owner has sailed the boat in the ocean back and forth to the Caribbean and has extensively cruised the Caribbean Basin living aboard for 6-7 months at a time. It is fully equipped and in nice, ready to go condition.
