Howard:
I am finally getting around to a "Spray" update. Bob Sweeney and I bought her (formerly "Silver Spray") from the original owners, Robert and Sharon Cuzner, in May 2008. We had Spray trucked up from Florida to Rhode Island. She now hails from Newport, Rhode Island.
Since we purchased her, we have done a few things: a re-power in the winter of 2009 with a new Yanmar 3YM30 (29hp) diesel engine; replaced the head with a Jabsco quiet flush electric head; replaced the primary winches with Lewmar 40 self-tailing winches; added Garmin GPS and chart plotter; added Garmin HD radar; replaced the sail covers with new Sunbrella sail covers; and switched to a Manson Supreme anchor.
We have wanted to keep Spray true to her original heritage, and care for her as lovingly as the Cuzners did over the years. The Cuzners, particularly Sharon, have been an invaluable resource to us. Sharon put together an "historic" photo album chronicling Spray's years in New England, the Pacific Northwest, Florida, and the Bahamas. It is fun for us to see her early days. We intend to add to the photo album by taking and sharing more photos of Spray back in New England.
We have become die-hard Allied Seawind II owners and swear there is no better boat to sail than this Gilmer designed 32' ketch. And by the way, my Golden Retriever, "Cutter," agrees paws down that this is the boat for him! The 4" cap rail has saved him from an uncharted swim a time or two!
Thanks,
Mariah Sugden

I have just come back from inspecting Silver Spray and I can tell you that the sole has been redone and it is great. The carpenter used the write up in the Knowledge Base as a starting point and improved on that. All the stringers have been replaced and some added. They have been epoxy coated and glassed to the hull. The sole is teak and holly and there is no ledge at the transition to the forward cabin. There is a bilge/compression post inspection hatch.
Please also note that the price has been raised to $40,000.00

Silver Spray is waiting for you, the hull and topsides are polished, the varish frest, the cabin redone.....ready for quiet nights in far off coves. Work has just been finished to include a new interior with teak and holly varnished sole (even the bilges are painted with Awlgrip now), fresh varnish, fresh interior paint.

Good Morning
I'll post the pictures when I get them. The specs are already there. Do you want to post a price and contact information?
Howard

Thanks Howard, the price is $30,000 as is where is. I have survey from 2003 I will share This boat is ready to sail, but needs cosmetics to interior, hull and deck are great. It needs a new sole, and the interior freshened. I'd probably paint the paint parts and clean and reoil the teak. Engine is fine, runs good, and has been continuously maintained. From the knowledge page, the sole replacement doesn't look like too bad a job.
Pics sent yesterday.
Thanks again.
